Text Box: If you search the scripture, you will find that there is a place where every man can meet his maker and that place is on Hallowed Ground. It was no accident that the believers written of in the Bible had a much closer relationship with God than many of us, if not all of us, do today. God’s word repeatedly emphasizes that it was their obedience that was the key, for God will not allow the rebellious to remain in His presence, never has, never will — atonement or no atonement. Isaiah 59: 1-2 Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. Since it would be impossible for anyone to live a life of continual obedience or true faith towards God without having experienced the new birth, the work that you now hold was created to explain the highly misunderstood process of true conversion, the marks of the new birth, and the fundamentals of the Christian faith. Excerpt from Hallowed Ground: The setbacks I experienced eventually brought complacency to my life while I held on to the hope that the price I had paid for my faith was enough for me to have experienced conversion. Yet when I searched my entire being, I could find nothing divine within me. At that time, if anyone would have examined my life closely enough, they would have concluded that the only difference between me and a complete sinner was that I went to church almost regularly, I didn’t curse, and perhaps a few other minor details. I certainly had not found the Christianity that I had read about so often in the Bible. There was no power to my religion, and I could not find in my heart what the scripture told me would be there if I were truly a child of God. So instead of finding the faith and the manifestations of the Holy Spirit that the Bible informed me my heart would possess, I found an empty heart - a heart that was void of any real love for others - a heart that was still in love with the world around me . . .
